Theme Instructions

Single Sidebar Theme:

This is how the widget area for the http://holidaywordpressthemes.info.  I have the “Recent Posts” and “Links” widgets there. Any Recent Posts will automatically show when you start publishing posts.  The Link categories will be automatically named whatever your category names are.  You can also use a “Text” widget in this sidebar or whatever.  Make sure you give a title to any other widget you slide over.  Example:  In this site http://seasonalfabric.info  I have a “Text “widget between the “Links” and “Recent Posts” widgets.  To get the header to show for the text box for my Adsense Ads, I simply typed in spaces in the “title area” for the “Text” widget.

Double Sidebar Theme:

This is how the widget area for my site, pinatasonline.info looks.   http://pinatasonline.info/  Simply go to Appearance/widgets and slide over the widgets I have here into Sidebar 1 and Sidebar 2.

If you want the headings for the blocks to show in the left sidebar (Sidebar 1) you have to type in a title for any widget you are using.  Examples: when I slid over the Search widget I titled it “Search This Site”, I titled the Text widget “Other” for my Adsense Ads.    In the right sidebar (Sidebar 2), the “recent posts” will show automatically as soon as you start creating them.  The link categories you made will also show automatically in the right sidebar.

 The Footer:

The footer contains a link area that you can insert your own links or simply delete them from the footer.  It also contains a copyright notice that will automatically be filled in with the title of your site.  To edit this, simply go to Appearance/Footers and edit the text.  You can attach links to the preformatted links, but I usually just delete everything except this so that it shows a copyright notice.

Footer

(If you leave the text I have  shown above in the footer area, your site Title will fill in automatically with the copyright notice.)

To make use of the preinstalled link text, you insert your links in place of the (#) signs.  In this example,  (from this site) I also replaced some of the anchor text:
